Any experiences of Air China?

Looking at flights to Australia and there's a cheap deal coming up with Air China: flying to Sydney and stopping over in Taipei. Anyone done this, or flown with Air China before? I would be going with dp and three kids ds1 8yo, ds2 6yo and ds3 2yo.

Don't do it.....they are a budget airline, I flew HK to Thailand. Nice but old planes I expect.

I think....

not scaremongering but I think that Air China has a poor safety record ....try googling

They certainly will NOT cater for your children.

This is probably not your main criteria but I had occasion to learn that they are one of the most lenient airlines worldwide for allowing large zoological animals to be transported in the cabin.

HTH

I googled already and Air China has a fairly good safety record (better than Qantas, anyway) marred slightly by the crash in 2002. It's China Airlines which is the really bad one.

Lol leaving on a jetplane - an elephant or two might entertain the kids

So no-one has direct experience of them?

They're cheap for a reason!. Cheap does not always equal cheerful.

I had a pretty scary flight with them a couple of years ago - very old planes - I wouldn't flt with them again
