We are booked for a week-long cruise in a few months. I have no cruise experience and would like to have some advice on how to survive it with 5 yr old DD and 1 yr old DS.

What should we bring with us? What do I need to know?

Your help much appreciated.

No experience but would be interested to hear how you get on! What suitable facilities do you know about on the boat itself (am thinking swimming pools or play areas or...?)?

Ive cruised with thomsons and have just booked P and O for next year but cant give too much advice as my children are older than yours. Ive been getting a lot of helpful information from cruise critic (sorry cant do links ) so you could try there. We loved our cruise, waking up in a new place every day and sailing away at night with the band playing was magical so have a great time.

I have no idea. DB organized it - it's a bit of an extended family thing. Our two will be the only children.

There must be a swimming pool or two. Ship looks huge. I don't think we would leave DD alone anywhere, including play areas.

Wondering if I would need to take food for DS, in particular. Or will there be so much food to choose from that I wouldn't need to?
