Smugglers Caves in Hastings

Hi

We're going to the Rye/Hastings area in half term with a group of others and one of the planned outings is a day out at the smugglers caves in Hastings.

The website implies that there is a lot of steps and I don't want to aggrevate my knee which I have been having problems with since a car accident a few months back. But my son is very excited about going and so I'm hoping we will be able to manage some of it.

Has anyone been who can advise me a bit more on how much walking/climbing steps is involved please.

Thanks

IIRC there are steps going down to the cave, but once you are inside it is all pretty much on one level. I went with DP about 10 years ago pre dc's and it was excellent. There were definatly people pushing pushchairs around in their so the steps can't have been too bad.

Thanks for that. Steps down aren't so bad, it's steps up that are harder for me still! I guess we'll give it a go and see how I get on
