Manchester Airport: How quick/easy to get from terminal 2 to terminal 1 ?

We're flying from terminal 1 in a few weeks but we've booked overnight hotel/parking at terminal 2 (Radisson Hotel) so we're going to have to somehow get from one to the other

Does anyone know if it's possible to walk (been told we may have to use a shuttle bus?) and roughly how long it's likely to take us?

I was at the Raddison last week. Don't think it is far. Most of the hotels run free shuttles I think, maybe take 5 mins plus waiting for and getting on and off bus.

Thanks islandofsodor, that's what we were bothered about - waiting for the shuttle bus. We waited for one at Birmingham once and ended up walking

We'll make sure we allow a good half hour just in case

The two terminals are linked with a walkway, so if you are in Terminal 2 it is very easy to walk between the terminals. can't remember how long it takes (20 min???); it is not a short distance if my memory serves me, but easy to do it.

Otherwise the hotel is likely to have a shuttle.
