Hotel de la Porte Doree, in the 12th arr. next to Bois de Vincennes; hotel has incredible charm; looks like home; hotel owner and manger is an american lady who cares for her customers like you have never seen it; the hotel is out of the center but well served by the metro line 8 which stops in front of the hotel so you'll get easily to everywhere in Paris you want to. About 130€ for a double room.
Hotel Le Cadran, rue du champs de mars, next to Eiffel Tower, a design boutique hotel newly renovated; the pluses: next to Rue Cler and all its great parisian shops, and cafes; inside the hotel there is a fantastic chocolate shop with awesome chocolates to taste and delicious chocolate drinks. Double room about 150€
Hotel Le Chaplain, close to Luxembourg Garden, in the 6th arr. another newly renovated hotel that is charming as well, bigger room than the previous one and decoration is more plain. I appreciated particularly their little patio, a haven of quietness, their free mini bar of non-alcoholic beverages refilled every day, an excellent breakfast and of course its perfect location, close to Montparnasse, Saint Germain, Saint Michel. Double room about 160€
If you like the area of Champs Elysees, check hotel des Champs Elysees, rue d'Artois, another totally renovated hotel, high-tech, design boutique hotel; the pluses of this hotel are: very courteous and friendly staff, cleanliness of the hotel, very comfortable room and fancy bathroom and of course its location if you are interested in the Champs Elysees area. Double room about 170€
If you are crazy and loved Saint Germain des Pres as I do, check hotel Saint Vincent; a great old townhouse renovated lately and turned into an hotel; has an impressive entrance, a great salon with fireplace, classy furnitures, pannelled doors, moulding, very warm colours, huge room and excellent comfort; I love this hotel. Double room about 200€
