Algarve in October

We are possibly now thinking of going to the Algarve in Scottish school hols (2nd and 3rd week of October).
Will it still be quite summery and warm? Not worried about if its a bit chillier at night but as we are ued to constant scottish drizzle (there were snow/hail showers today here!) then I would really like to go somewhere where it is sunny enough for some sunbathing or the odd beach day.
Thanks

I have been in the Scottish school holidays and we all found it quite warm (20-25c). We are going again this year.

Went in Oct 2008 and it was lovely, not too hot but we had a good few days on the beach with several days exploring the local area.

We went in Oct 2007, Scottish October week, it was chilly and damp, as we had gone prepared for sun I had to do a wash as we ran out of clothes . It felt a real home from home though the rain was warmer.
