Is anyone booking flights given the volcano disruption?

We were supposed to be going away in May but decided not to given the ash volcano.

We are not looking at going until September now but DH is not keen to book flights. Any thoughts are appreciated.

We normally fly shorthaul for half term but for the first time ever, we've decided to opt for the ferry and do northern Europe as opposed to the Med. Might not get the sunshine but at least, it removes the possibility of flight/holiday cancellations.

That is my DH idea - to get the ferry. But I really fancy going to Italy... Decisions decisions.

All airports have reopened now so I'm sure it would be fine tbh

We got stuck in Tenerife on Saturday.

Airspace over northern spain was closed, all RyanAir flights were cancelled.

We had to book flights with jet2, then get a hire car to drive 150 miles home (couldnt get flight to local airport)

We were lucky that we had the quick-thinking to book the flights at the airport once we realised that ours were cancelled. Some people who had their flights cancelled werent offered alternative flights until next Thursday.

My parents flew to Malaga today with no problems.
