Should we go home?

On hols with DS1(4) and DS2(2). Been here a couple of days - south of france and so far the weather has been dreadful heavy rain and its cold too. I've just checked the forecast and its the same all week, except thursday which is even colder.
I'm bored already.......should we just cut our losses and go home? Or drive over to spain or something?? We're going to have to go out and buy some gloves or a hat at this rate.........WWYD

The weather's been rubbish here too. Better to have family time somewhere other than home, surely? Different experiences to be had, albeit soggy. Don't always believe long-range forecasts. You'll look back on these days...

Depends, what is your accommodation like? We came back from Normandy early a couple of years ago in August as the weather was so dreadful and our holiday rental, although supposedly all year round, could really only cope with hot weather e.g. the owners did not want to turn the heating on and it was so wet outdoors that I could never get the laundry dry so we gave up and came home. The lighting was also of the "mood" variety so we could only read comfortably in daytime. It was the right decision for us. If you can get comfy in the house I would be inclined to stay, eat good food and drink wine. Otherwise, come home and spend your holiday money in comfort.

Spain Malaga coastline is fab at mo 27degrees in day however friends are in ALicante and weather mixed - dont give in wake up tomorrow positive and do something to counterbalance the rain

What did you decide to do?

No internet for the last couple of days hasn't helped, but we managed to get to the beach yesterday afternoon. Raining again today, we'll probably head off tomorrow. Accom is lovely but we're all really bored. Its such a shame, we've a week in Devon later in the year - hopefully that wil be better, I'm generally prepared for bad weather at home.........i wasn't expecting cold and wet in south of france!!
