Flying Alitalia- will I have to pay to take carseat and pram?

Hi
Flying alitalia in a few weeks. When i rang and booked they said that a carseat and I therfore assume pram will be extra money/ taken out of the weight allowance of 10kg that we have for DD.

Anyone know if this is really true? I flew EasyJet last year and it was much better, we took pram, carseat and travel cot for nothing....

THank you!

Be careful if you are flying Alitalia, check your ticket!!! If it is a code share air one flight you get nothing for free. I had to pay 35 euros each way for my son's pushchair because he was 2 years old. They only carry them free for under two's. The rules are obvious anywhere on the alitalia site, so be warned!
