I've flown with sleazyjet several times, it is cattle class and not terribly civilised. You don't get actual tickets, just the paper you print from a computer. I think they call people with children to the front of the queue but for us it's silly. We fly from Zurich and you need to be bussed to the plane. People with children get on the bus first, ordinary people next and when you get to the plane the ordinaries are off the bus first and onto the plane first. I have no idea about Gatwick, I haven't flown out of there for about 25 years.
Enjoy your holiday.

You will get called to the front with kids.

No idea about Easyjet, have managed to avoid them thus far.

Gatwick North & South terminals are connected by a satellite train - takes mere minutes to get between the two.

lozza,

You need to print off the boarding passes; no paper tickets are issued these days by airlines. EZjet are not great and have a crappy baggage allowance per pax but they're better than Ryanair.

Unfortunately the shuttle train that Rindercella mentioned is not actually running currently (its being modernised) and will not infact operate until July.

This is the up to date information from Gatwick Airport's website. Please pay close attention to the second paragraph.

"We are installing a new inter-terminal shuttle as part of Gatwick?s near £1 billion investment programme.

Until this work is finished a replacement bus service is linking the terminals, and departs from the upper forecourt of both terminals every three minutes during the day (04.00 to 18.00) and every six minutes at night. Allow 20 minutes to transfer. As the transit stations will be closed, access between South Terminal and local buses is by alternative routes.

The new shuttle will now be ready in July 2010, one month ahead of schedule".

I would ask the hotel to arrange a taxi for you to take you to the North terminal.

Lozza - drinks and stuff on the plane are ££££ so if you haven't booked food/drinks on the flight, after you get through security try and get in Boots or somewhere and get drinks or whatever for the flight if you think you'll need anything.

Have a good holiday .
