Hi
Great place, loved it last summer. If you fly to Schipol, you get a train direct to the Hague from there. Then at that the Hague station go upstairs and get a bus direct to Duinrell. Place to buy bus tickets upstairs too.
Have fun

Hire bikes on site and cycle to the beaches too for a nice day out.

thank you, will def look into bike hire
thanks again

There is a big supermarket really close by - you need to go out the entrance and across the road - then when in the shopping street take a right.

It is much much cheaper in the supermarket than in the duinrell shop.

The local high street has some nice shops.

Dan Haig is good for a shopping trip aswell and a pleasant city bbut not overwhelming.

You can get the train to amsterdam if you want to day trip?

My dd2 was 9 and loved the place her favourite campsite ever

OoOh when are you going? We're going may half term! Agree re supermarket - have been before, Campsite 'restuarant ' is dreadful but ones in Wassennaar (about 5 - 10 mins walk) are fantastic. Great chocolate shops in town but kids aren't allowed to touch (dd)We planned to go to Amsterdam but didn't as too much to do in park!! Den Hague is a Government town so not exciting. madurodam miniature village good if you want a day away or Schevining (sp) for a british Brighton (ish). but beach nearby - great dunes but North sea!!!
The pool was closed when we last went (5 days) and we actually didn't miss it!!!
This trip is dd's birthday party/present - she chose it over both options AND the option of Disney paris!! it's FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAB!!!!
Have you got a mobile home? Then BBQ!!!

The pizza restaurant(not in the main building) on site isn't bad, but the pancake one just outside the gate is very good.

Just one warning about the beaches at Wassanar and Scheveninigen, they are very very windy, so make sure you have the right clothing. We went to the Sea Life centre at Scheveninigen, it's worth looking out for discount vouchers.

If you have passport photograpsh - take them with you or get them done before you go.

You will need a passport size photograpah for each person that wants to go in the swimming slides, they don't mind if you have two people in the same photograph as long as they have one each. You need them to get your pass to the swimming and often it is the sort of thing you can get cheap at asda and get one lot done of the 4 of you and take ready

Ivykaty44 · 06/05/2010 13:04

Oh and your two hours in the swimming - it cost a few euro for some and others in certain vans is free - but you just get two hours and that includes changing after.

So what most people do is take big bag and put in towels and toweling robes flip flops and come straight out and go back to unit to get changed.

you get fined if you stay in to long you see.

the slides are wicked...

I live in The Hague and there's a cafe on the main high street in Wasennaar called Bagel Alley - does bagels (obviously) but also huge slices of Oreo cake which is yummy! Def worth a trip! Delft is a lovely day trip too - contains all that is nice about Holland - good restaurantrs/canals/large cobbled sqaure/lots of street to potter around etc etc! Enjoy!
