Sao Tome/Principe

Anyone have any experience of these rather remote Islands? DH rather fancies spending some time there next year with DS & moi, but I'm not too sure.....

Yessssss! I have been. It is the most amazing place. We lived in West Africa and a group of us chartered a plane and we took up the whole resort of Bom Bom Island.

After years of living in Africa I have seen many fine beaches in my time but Bom Bom is quite something else.

It is on the tiny island of Principe, which has some fascinating history and an interesting tiny town.

If I were you I would combine it with a trip to Gabon, to the Loanga National Park, we have never been but it is on our list of Places To Go.
