Any Algarve experience: Alvo or Carvoeiro

I need to choose between 2 timeshare weeks I've been offered Monte Carvoeiro Clube or Alto country club.

Anyone been to either?

I have visited both on day trips and preferred Alvor because it had a much bigger expanse of beach and less built up. We were based in Lagos which I would definitely recommend.

We're going to Alvo in a week - have heard fab things about it from friends so am happy with our choice.
