4 months Pregnant in June...Where to holiday?

DH and I used to our adventure/activity holidays: skiing, trekking, horseriding, rafting, in Himalayas, South America, SE Asia.

We find ourselves pregnant but needing to take holiday in June. We are RUBBISH at looking at things i.e. museums, galleries, monuments.

Has anyone any good suggestions for a woman terrified that her last childless holiday is going to be soooo boring?

I suppose it depends on what you want from your holiday and whether you want to be long or short haul.

If you are only going to be 4 months pg then you should be able to be fairly active still. When I was 5 months pg we went to Slovenia and Croatia and I was able to do some decent walks (up to 7km say, but at a gentle pace).

We also spent a week cruising the Dalmation coast, which was not especially active, but lovely. Lots of swimming which feels so nice when pg.

Just because you're having a child, doesn't mean it will be your last great holiday. Don't forget that babies up to the crawling stage are very portable. Plus, you only have to pay taxes on their airfare, so make the most of not paying for a seat before they hit two. We took our five-month old to Australia, via Hong Kong there, and Singapore back. We've been all over the world with all of our children - and would be across the Atlantic right now with the three of them, if it wasn't for the naughty ash cloud! Also, four to seven months pregnant is a good time to travel because you have your energy back and you're not too big. Have a great time, wherever you go!
