I liked it. Watch out for Old Town vs Amathus - if you want to see the town, Amathus is a long way away.

You don't need a car. Nice beach. Very nice food.

I wasn't looking for that, it was a holiday trip. I think there were clubs ... again, I'd go for town, not Amathus or whatever it was. I'm sure there was stuff there.

There's a reptile museum. Or there was.

Very nice food. Japanese, Lebanese, Russian (ok, not that good). Lots of big pub sorts of places. Lovely beaches. A really nice boardwalk along the med.

well I've just had a look on trip advisor and our hotel is rated 5th so I feel a bit more relaxed.

Have you booked for yourself, or you and your dp? I'm thinking of having a break on my own for a long weekend, but somehow don't think dh will be happy, or let me.

Lots of nightlife, bars etc although watch out because there is a pretty dodgy bit with lots of pole dancers and russian 'hostesses'. I have to say Limassol is nice, but there are better bits! Hire a car if you can, there's a really nice water park near by and an even better one in Ayia Napa.

You aren't taking your DD are you? Is it just you or are you taking DP now? There's a big multiplex cinema just outside the town, films tend to be shown in english with subtitles.

SIL lives there, so if there's anything specific just ask, plus I think there are some military wives who live at the nearby base who post on here too!

Avoid the zoo like the plague. Horrible

I booked for both of us. We are staying in the Atlantica (in the apartments) 4* apparently. 200m from the beach but across a busy road.

I am feeling better about it now, less nervous.

Just remember that it will be really really hot. Prekids we used to go out in the morning, 'sleep' in the afternoon, and go out again in the evening. Now we have kids we don't go over in July/August, although now SIL has got a pool we might consider it!

Have a lovely time, I'm very , we don't get to visit often enough.
