DRIVING TO DORDOGNE WITH A PILE OF KIDS

We're driving to the Dordogne this year with a car load of kids - we've borrowed a few extra as built in entertainment for our lot - and are planning a one or two night stopover on the way as part of holiday.

Can anyone recommend a good stop off point on the way that is worth a visit. We'll be coming from cherbourg via Nantes but would consider diverting via Paris as I am terrified of driving over that horrible bridge in Nantes if there was anywhere recommended on that route.

How old are the DC?
Puy du Fou is fantastic for the over-5s.

Are you really scared of the Nantes bridge? I love it!

always have to resist the urge to close my eyes while driving over it. Mix of tweens, tweenies and younger . Havn't been at P du F for years thanks for the reminder. Off to google it!
