Hi Everyone,

DS turned 3 this month and we are hoping to take him to Legoland middle of next month. Just wanted to check before we traipse down there that it is suitable for his age?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes there is stuff suitable for his age. YOu need to check his height though before you pay all that money out!

Just make sure you going during term time on a weekday otherwise it is hell.

My DD2 is not 3 until July and I have been taking her for over a year and she LOVES it. She recognises when we are on the road leading to it now and gets very excited! There is lots of stuff for them to do - a lot of the height restrictions start at 0.9m so as long as your DS is taller than this you should find lots to go on. The entrance to Legoland is free for under 3s. If it is a warm take take some swimwear and a towel as there is a water fountain area which is lovely for them to play in. Enjoy!

Thanks both.

Is is a big, big place?

DS is a really good walker and we're always going on country walks but I'm wondering if we should take buggy as I'm guessing we'll be walking pretty much all day?

The buggy will be handy to carry things on, not just your DS. As it is aimed at the smaller child there are loads of buggies around the place. You have to leave them outside the ride queues but there is usually a buggy park for them.

I take a 2.5 year old and take a buggy - mainly for carrying food supplies though, plus for him to nap in if he gets tired.

He has just got to the 0.9 metre height, so had his first ride on Sky Rider and Chopper Squadron.

Other rides little children tend to like are:
Duplo Train
Fairy Tale Brook
Dino Safari (min 0.9)
Dragon's Apprentice - Roller Coaster (min 0.9)
Spinning Spider (min 0.9)
Balloon School
Boating School (note: queue time for this can be very long)
Desert Chase (carousel)
Duplo Playground

In the Pirate area, Rat Trap has been changed to Pirates Training Camp. Younger children seem to like the new boats which can be found to the rear (if looking at entrance, so slightly to the left and under the walkway). Note: young children can access the larger playarea, so you will need to keep a close eye on them if restricting them to just the boats.

For anyone interested, Legoland is available on Google Streetview
