what sun shade for stroller?

Hi there, off on holidays soon to the sun (i hope) and I'm trying to decide on a sun shade to buy for my maclaren techno xt. I have this buggy since DD1 was a baby and on our first holiday with her, a friend gave me a loan of fab UV cover. I can't remember the name and neither can she (she's since lost it and has no need for another). Considering a "shade-a-babe" or a "koo-di pack-it stroller sun and sleep shade".

From what I can gather the main difference between the two is that the shade a babe allows the baby to see out and costs a lot more. Any opinions? I want something that I can use for naps (DD2 is 7 months) but I'd love to have something that will give sun protection while we are just strolling around during the day and was concerned that the koo-di shade would drive DD crazy if she can't see out.

I hate messing around with parasols and I am very paranoid about sunburn - we are all very fair-skinned so I want something I can use all the time.

Watching with interest as I have a Maclaren and will be taking DD on holiday when she's 7 months old.

I would have thought the shade a babe would be best if you want to use it while she's awake too. Wouldn't be too bad for sleeping but being pushed around in a black bubble would be awful (and probably motion sickness inducing) while awake
