Travelling with a 3 & 4 year old, any suggestions?

We went to Hawaii for our Honeymoon 13 years ago so I expect it has changed a bit. Our favourite island was the Big Island (the one that is officially called Hawaii). It had a really interesting and varied landscape and was less commercial than Ohau. Maui was lovely. I would expect it to be very child friendly wherever you go though. Are you breaking the journey somewhere? It is a long, long time in the sky.

Have been quite a few times with my children - on my own and with my husband - and am going again this summer. Last time it took about 24 hours (had to change in Germany as well as in San Francisco plus all the hanging around) and we only went for a week .... but it's great when you get there. I prefer to get the flying over and done with so never break the journey or even with long breaks leave the airport - to have a sleep/whatever at an airport hotel but know those who do. My children are good at travelling so have never had any huge problems. They don't tend to sleep which is a pain but apart from that are fine. They first flew to Hawaii about the same ages as yours/maybe a bit younger. If you have any questions please ask.

We visit quite a bit as my sister has a villa on Big Island. Where are you staying?

Am returning to these Islands in the summer.

When are you going there and what do you need to know?. Are you staying on Oahu or one of the other islands?.

Whatever your plans are do not forget to fill in the ESTA (electronic travel authorisation for travel to the US) online for all of you at least 72 hours before departure.

Not sure of exactly where we are going. We have a wedding to attend so some of our time/location will be dictated by this but I want to make it a two week break.

I did Oahu as a teenager and loved it, now just have to think of taking family.

Any child friendly hotels/resorts?

Hilton Hawaiian Village on Oahu is child friendly.
