Do you mean a specific place, or to the beach in general?

IME and IMO children LOVE beaches, all the running around, fresh air, playing in the sea and sand. I grew up having every school holiday at a beach, they were the happiest times of my life. DS has always enjoyed the beach when we've gone (coming up 3yo). We've booked Turtle Beach in Barbados for May (seems very child friendly and has a kids club) and know he'll love it.

sorry, I meant the 'beaches' resorts - part of sandals but for families. quite expensive and dont know whether they are worth it. Seen turtle beach and it looks lovely

Hi - We took dd1 to Beaches Negril (Jamaica) when she was one. She was still small enough to sleep in a cot in our room while we sat outside on the balcony at night, so we only needed to pay for one room.

It was nice BUT not sure if it was worth the money. We found the food a little bland as it is aimeds squarely at the American market. That's bad enough when it is for adults but worse when they are also trying to accommodate children's "tastes".

We tried the children's club but weren't happy with the care so didn't leave dd1 there on her own.

We had a few minor problems with things like the cot being broken and breakfast never opening on time so we were left hanging around for ages in the morning.

On the last night both dh and myself got terrible food poisoning.

Now I won't say we didn't have a good time, the beach was great and AI's are always easy. Plus there was a small water park. But I'm just not sure it was worth what we paid.

There is an all-inclusive here in St Lucia called Coconut Bay, Virgin do holidays there, have you looked at that?

OOh, that doesnt sound great. have been to sandals a couple of times in the past so I know what you mean about the food.

will look at turtle bay and coconet bay

thanks!

Hi, we went to Beaches Turks and Caicos about a year and a half ago and I have to say it was fantastic. It's perfect if you have young children and we found the childcare facilities to be really clean and safe with really friendly staff. Our children were well looked after when they did go to the kids club (2 and a half year old and 8 month old at the time).

The beach here is also the best I have been to as well with really nice calm waters. Really beautiful place.

I would definitely go back there although it is a lot of money. I'm trying to find a similar holiday that is a little less expensive but I think I will struggle to find anything that matches the Beaches holiday we went on as it was perfect for us.
