Do you need to prebook or can you just show up. What else is there worth seeing at RA atm ? Thinking of taking dc this week and finally using my membership !

I saw this last half term and it was heaving.

Utterly beautiful and moving though.
Not sure what else is on there but the website is pretty helpful I think.
at least, as a member, you won't have to queue - when I went the queue snaked around the courtyard twice.
Personally, I wouldn't worry about what else is on, especially if you're taking the DCs.
I find those big exhibitions so absorbing and stimulating I don't want to dilut the feeling by moving on to something else.

Thanks, it was really good but so busy . The audio guide seemed to create bottlenecks. Took us a good hour and half to go round, even withotu studying all the letters, and we had pretty much reached the limit of dc attention span ! Very glad we didn't have to queue but it looked shorter at 1.00 than it had been at 11.15. Thought the guide books etc were overpriced, are they always so £££ or just for some exhibitions?
