Sleeper train with 3 and 1 year olds?

Has anyone done the sleeper from Glasgow to London or similar with young kids (3 and 1)? Is it do-able, or the journey from hell? My partner and I really fancy taking them to London for a weekend and thought sleeper may be easier than flying?

Not done a sleeper train. But we took are 2.4 year old and 9 month old to Cape Town with a 10.5 hour overnight flight. No problems at all.

We've done the sleeper from London to Edinburgh. Double compartments, bunk beds. Kids tend to sleep better in the bottom bunk, even though they want the top one, as the top one sways around quite a lot and the bottom one is more centred. Putting kids to bed as normal and taking them in their PJs to the station seems to work. Lots of people were doing it when we did.
