I will be driving to the Lake District from South East London on Sunday with 2 DCs (toddler and teenager). Can anyone recommend somewhere to stop off for lunch on the way?
Would like to try and get at least three or four hours driving done before we stop as the toddler usually has a really long morning nap (between 2-3 hours) so am hoping will stay asleep for the morning bit .
Looking for suggestions for a nice village or market town not too far off the motorway (so as not to add too much extra time on the journey). Any suggestions gratefully received!
