Holiday abroad with 22 month old - recommendations please!

I desperatly want to go away on holiday and get some sun. I haven't been on hols for about 2 years (I'm not counting going to Lanzarote last year when ds was 7 months as he woke hourly and most days was up at 4am for good so it was not really a holiday!)

Therefore I want somewhere that is sunny but has plenty of stuff to keep ds, who is 21 months now but looking to go in a months time, amused. Plus I don't want to disrupt his routine too much as it does not good for him so we'd need a seperate room for him to sleep in as he goes to bed at 7.

Anyone have any ideas?

South of France/Italy/Spain? Mobile home holidays are good - cheap outside the school hols, pools, playgrounds, space to run around. Check out Siblu, Canvas, Keycamp etc. Choice between self catering/takeway/restaurants so you can do what suits.

We stayed at Union Lido with Canvas for a week in June when dd was 27 months and had a fab time. Also at Siblu's Lac des Reves last year - they do a playgroup each day for the littlies.
