Canaries next week - possible? recommendations???

I am playing around with us all going to the canaries somewhere next week (10th apr)
Has anyone got any really good recommendations of a really nice hotel ideally 5* with good kids activities/pool etc.

Am trying to persuade DH to go as he has a weeks holiday tat week and will start a new job after we get back so think it would be great for us all to have a proper break away and a bit of warmth!

Any ideas?????

immypants - hi there. We live in Gran Canaria and there's a hotel just down the road from us that has some good stuff for the kids and a couple of really good swimming pools. We went to Tenerife this time last year. We stayed at a hotel called Barcelo de Santiago and it was lovely. There were plenty of families with young children and they seemed to absolutely love it (I was pregnant at the time). The food was great and plenty of choice. There were 3 outdoor pools including a paddling pool. They had a kids club with lots of activities.
