Recommendations in Croatia

We are looking for destinations for our first holiday in ages!! It will be for 2 adults, 3yo DD and DS who will be about 9 months.

Am quite fancying Croatia, but no nothing about the resorts, climate, suitability for young children etc. I would love some guaranteed sunshine, but don't want it too hot for the DCs.

We are thinking of going beginning of July for 2 weeks.

Any advice on where to go etc would be great!

TIA

beginning of July will be hot (30 - 35 degrees), and sunshine is guaranteed the coast is beautiful and I would recommend Korcula or Hvar (islands) or somewhere on Istra peninsula.

July's hot in Croatia so stay near the beaches
What's your budget? Friends have rented private accommodation with holiday lettings and james villas in the past ans swear by it!

About traveling with kids: my info might be a bit dated, but you shouldn't be expecting diaper-changing tables in public restrooms, highchairs in restaurants, public playgrounds are not that often either, but then you'd be at the beach not in the city...
On the positive note ppl are very friendly and the food is to die for!
Hope it helped!

Watchoutpushchair - your info is v. up to date!

If you do go, then make sure you get air con ("klima" is the croatian word) because without it, you won't be able to sleep and it is not in all or even most accommodation.
The beaches are pebble not sand but the water is clean. I like Primosten (half way between Zadar airport and Split airport). Brac and Hvar are v. popular tourist islands.
Most places are "for living" and just get swelled with tourist numbers in the summer but if you do want to go to a tourist only place then try Baska Voda or anywhere on the Makarska riveriera (which is equidistant between Split and Dubrovnik airports i.e. 2 hours from each). Try not to travel on a Friday or Saturday as the traffic jams are awful on those days - most tourists drive in from Germany, Austria etc. Otherwise the roads are not too bad.
If bottle feeding, you might want to take formula milk from home. Baby food jars are fine, if quite sweet. Huggies is available in all sizes.
