Hello,
Has anyone been to the Ice Cream Farm in Tattenhall?

What did you think? We have DD 18mths into everything at the moment and looking for as many outdoorsy places to take her.

Yes, my DS loves it but I must admit we mormally use the indoor soft play, which is free for the younger ones. The soft play was only put in last year so is in good nick, staff are friendly etc.
I've been going there since they first opened (family farm who diversified into ice cream when milk prices crashed) and the ice cream is divine!

Thanks ChesterGal. We'll give it a go.

We went yesterday.
They've done quite a lot of work over the last couple of years to expand the place, installing the soft play area and improving the cafe etc.
Is a good place to spend an hour, but probably not much longer unless you're using the soft play or the weathers really nice and your little one is playing on the outdoor climbing frame.
There's not that many animals really - a couple of donkeys, miniature horses, goats. You can watch the cows being milked (and there's lots of cute calfs at the moment)and walk round to the duck pond (also a few chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs in hutches round there) but it is free, there's plenty of parking, lovely countryside nearby and fantastic ice-cream.
If you're in the area, you're not far from the candle factory, beeston and peckforton castles or even the shire horse centre

Ooops pressed post in haste there!
Great Budworth is lovely, the people who run the farm are lovely and it is all very low key but a great way to entertain a toddler for a bit.

(and the ice cream is better!)
