Thinking of heading by train to Scarborough for a few days break. In need of family/baby friendly hotel or guesthouse. There is me & DP plus 3 yo & 10 month crawler. Ideally I need spacious double room with space for readybed & travel cot or a family room suitable for wee ones. Many of the family rooms seem to have bunk beds which isnt really any good for us. Would like to be near to stuff so can explore easily with buggy.

Any recommendations? Also any ones to avoid?

thanks.

This is probably too late but just noticed it - if you have been hope you had a good time! We have stayed in the newly opened travelodge a couple of times - its right on the cliff top in the centre of town. The family rooms we have had have been quite spacious (its an old property and they seem to be odd shapes and sizes rather than standard box sized rooms!). You can get cheap deals. If you go (or go back again in the future) I can highly recommned Le Chat Noir on Eastborough for breakfast or lunch etc. Its run by a lovely Breton couple and they make fab crepes and are very welcoming of small children.
