Hi, as the title says really. I'm wanting to book a weekend away from 1st May(ish) but am majorly a little undecided as to where.

I'm swinging towards Barcelona I think. Been there before and would love to go again - but do I need to broaden my horizons a little do you think?

Any suggestions welcome, can't be too much walking involved as will be 27 weeks pregnant and also have SPD.

Looking forward to your repsonses - thank you!!!

Also, am I crazy to be considering a weekend away whilst pregnant? DH seems to think so!! Will be leaving dd age 5 and ds age 3 with grandparents for the 3 nights we will be away.

I really like Barcelona but have been 4 or 5 times and it is possible to do it to death.

Paris? Esp. if you hop on and off the bateau mouche which would be easier and nicer than the Metro.

Prague is v nice.

Don't do Brussels. Is deadly boring.

Amsterdam is always nice and you can get around on the boats or hop on the tram, again nicer than underground.

not at all, we left all 3dc with the PIL to go to NY in Nov and it was fab

I always fancied Seville or Madrid but loved Barcelona so if thats what you fancy go for it

I don't see any reason at all not to go away just because you're pregnant, as long as you don't walk too much. SPD must be quite hard.

I completely missed SPD part - go nearby, Dublin or Belfast or Cork

Thanks guys, it's looking likely that we'll go to barcelona as it's a place we both love and are familiar with.

If SPD wasn't an issue I would have considered Venice, Amsterdam nad Berlin. But theres always another time for that....

Thanks Again - In fact, if anyone has any ideas on how to convince my hubby to go - that would also be much appreciated!!!

I thik you're mad going with SPD, any city will involve walking. But that's only my opinion, though you'll find I'm usually right

Love Barcelona.

How about Florence? Beautiful, beautiful city, packed with loads to see within a very small area.

mistressploppy · 05/04/2010 15:31

Seville. Lovely. Or Bruges

cocolepew · 05/04/2010 15:33

SIT DOWN WITH YOUR FEET UP! Really you'll make your SPD worse. I ended up in hospital with mine.

Thanks everyone

Opinions have all been taken on board, but in honesty the places I'd like to go see in Barcelona don't involve that much walking as it's all right next to the tube/metro stations - so I'll be fine here with SPD.

Thanks Again
