Lake District cottage recommendation - we've just stayed here and it was fab!

Dp and I spent a wonderful 3 nights here with our lovely friends (and none of us took our kids ) and I can highly recommend it as a hideaway getaway place - with or without kids.

The owners are lovely - leave you in peace but helpful and friendly - the cottage is on their estate so no neighbours and direct access to Windermere.

Lovely personal touches like a pint of milk in the fridge, fire ready to be lit, bottle of wine and box of chocs on the table and the kitchen all fully stocked with everything you could need.

All white fluffy towels and (my personal favourite) electric blankets on the beds + hot water bottles!!

The only drawback was the chilly bedrooms - but electric blankets and hot water bottles helped (and I'm a HUGE wuss).

Anyway, fantastic place if you're looking for somewhere in the Lakes I'm not on commission, honest! .

Have just dotty and it looks amazingly fab, especially as it's on a private estate so loads of room to roam!
Only thing was I couldn't find a price - perhaps it was upon request. How much did you pay for the 3 nights, if you don't mind me asking?

Shame no dogs, looks lovely otherwise.

Hi there - can't remember where we got the price list from but it was £390 for 3 nights last weekend - seemed reasonable compared to other places I'd googled.
