Lanzarote at Easter time - too windy??

Sunshine looks okay but the winds look quite strong and apparently they are cold winds. Will it be nice enough to be on the beach in a bikini?

TIA

We went about 10 years ago at this time of year and got lovely tan, only windy at night if I remember rightly and you needed a cardy. Hth

If you go to the south of the island rather than the north the winds are lighter.

Costa Teguise is also known as Costa Debreezy

thanks guys. the Yaiza is in Playa Blanca - is that near Costa teguise I wonder...

Ooh now you've said that it was cost teguise we went to. It was ok, wouldn't go mad tho x

Playa blanca is more South and definitely not as windy as Teguise. The Yaiza is lush

nbee84 · 01/04/2010 19:22

It's right at the bottom of Lanzrote - so very south. You can get the ferry across to Fuerteventura.

Yaiza is fab. Went there last feb. Not windy at all as on the south coast of lanzarote.
Very

Love playa blanca. Usually go in Feb, come back v. tanned. Might be breezy, so keep putting the suncream on. Just take a sunhat or funky scarf to wind round your head if hair blowing around annoys you as it does me!

Was in Fuerteventura in Feb - v. nice but somewhat breezy. Still v. tanned.

Playa Blanca - best holiday we've ever had and we've travelled all over the world!!! Yaiza is top-banana...right on the beach and next to the beautiful new marina and shops (plus extremely good Italian restaurant).

Breeze starts later afternoon/evening and is welcome rather than uncomfortable!

Enjoy,

We went end of April 2 years ago, was a lot cooler on a night time than Tenerife, but during the day was fine.

Yaiza is lovely.

Just take a cardigan, light jacket for night

mckenzie · 01/04/2010 21:34

thanks guys. Back with the Yaiza then I think. Off to source some flights.
