I'm thinking of booking my winter holiday, in Tenerife or Gran Canaria (because they're easy to get to and lots of things to do for children). Any suggestions for a quiet self catering villa with a pool, near a town but not too close (def not in any of the "resorts"), near a sandy beach, with some garden or open space for 2 kids?
