penny arcades, madam tussauds (I think?), various tacky shops, a lot of arcades have little rides etc in for kids....other than that, pray for sun!

blackpool tower circus - soft play and the circus and a little aquarium.

Avoid sea-life - it is not great

Sandcastle - swimming pool with slides etc - never been but could be pricey

The piers are ok, free to get on and have little rides and stuff for kids, penny slot machines etc.

The Tower is indoors and you could kinda spend the whole day there, not sure of price to get in, but if you google it, it wil tell you.

Will think some more...

ooh yes Sandcastle is great fun and i think you can stay all day as well.

What age?

DD used to rather like Sealife. The zoo is pleasant - not huge, I suppose not much indoors but we've done it happily enough in the rain with brollies. We went to sandcastle for the first time last weekend after DD had been to an 11th birthday party there and loved it - it was quite expensive, was good at opening time but did get crowded by lunchtime.

ooh, sandcastle is great! good idea! sea life is okay but expensive.

GrimmaTheNome · 31/03/2010 18:42

Yes, I think you can stay all day at Sandcastle, but parking is 3.50 for 3 hours, then it goes up to 7.50 for 12 hours so factor that in. Also the parking gets full, if you go you really do want to get there for opening time.
