Yes, I go every Saturday in the summer with my French students. (Obviously they go on the Big Scary Stuff while dd and I head for Thomasland)

A 4 yr old boy would be in Absolute Heaven.
(just make sure he doesn't see the shop, it's even fuller of Thomas Tat than you ever thought existed, and possibly take your own sarnies as the food on sale is a bit KFC/MaccyD's although the cafeteria place isn't too awful and the fish and chips is OK.

we've been twice - ds's (5 and 3) love it and ask every week when we're going back! Defiately worth a visit!

Yes we went and the boys loved it - a bit far for us or we would have been back. At the time DS1 was 5 and DS2 was 3.5. We went when DS1's school was closed for the day and even so I was surprised by the queues (possibly a bit naively I did not think people would take their kids out of school for the day). I was there with 2 boys and we were ok in terms of getting on rides and things so it's easier than Legoland from that perspective. There's not much to do if it rains, and not much shelter. Quite a good size for small kids to do in one day. Take a packed lunch and entertainment for the queues. Buy your tickets in advance because they're cheaper. It flows fairly seamlessly into the larger park with its scarier rides but luckily most of those have height restrictions. there's also a train you can take to a little farm and adventure playground which was good fun.

Famous last words!!!

Enjoy it!

stressed2007 · 01/04/2010 10:57

Do you think it wil be absolutely packed next week or just busy?

bluecheesedip · 01/04/2010 11:21

Packed!! We went during August last year and it was extremely busy -well worth it though. DS's were then 6, 4 & 2 and they all LOVED it!

Hai1988 · 01/04/2010 14:53

is this the Thomas land up in draton manoR???

spaceforthree · 02/04/2010 17:45

Is there any kind of queuing system? We want to go on Bank Hol Monday but with two LOs we don't want to spend hours queuing?

mmmmmchocolate · 02/04/2010 17:52

Bank hol mon will be heaving so be prepared! I took DD who was just gone 2 during term time as they doa parent and toddler ticket for £19 and we hardly had to queue for rides plus there's a soft play area so there's shelter if it rains which I'd imagine would be hard to get into during the hols.
