Forget plan A and Plan B - Back to Plan C! October Warm Weather please

I have previously posted - Firstly thinking about Nerja in October - then had change of heart and briefly thought about week in summer hols in Corfu (would be in addition to our main holiday). OH employer has put paid to this. He has big project on which will continue to end of Sept so can only have hols already booked. No way he can be spared for another week!! - His words - full of self-importance my darling OH.

So Plan C!! Where or where can we go for guaranteed warmth October half-term. Not necessarily scorching as over 30s but nice Mid 20s temperatures would be appreciated. Could cope with one wet day but dont want 7 days of rain. As this is bonus week on top of main holiday dont want to spend complete fortune. All suggestions welcome grin

The Canaries, Madeira or Egypt would still be warm and are all reasonably priced.

Madeira doesn't have beaches however, if thats what you want.

Thanks - I havent been to Canaries for years. Went to Tenerife but cant remember much about it (pre-children) and had miserable trip to Lanzarote (more about the people I was with than the place -but again that was some years ago). Can anybody recommend nice family type place to go. Ideally we want to get decent size apartment or villa with pool but not with fullon entertainment. We like to do our own thing. Places to visit would also be useful. We get a bit bored just lounging around. Any advice greatly appreciated. K
