Hi there,
We are off to Disneyland Paris next week and I have stocked up as many snacks as I can manage to carry! I know that food will be very expensive. Any recommendations for cheaper but 'nice' restaurants for light lunches or dinners??
Many thank in advance.

There's a small shop in the train station which is right at the entrance to the park. Although still not cheap, it is much much less than in the park. They sell drinks, sandwiches, yoghurts, fruit, croissants etc. We took a small coolbag and some plastic bags to fill with ice from the hotel ice-machine which kept things cool for a few hours. The restaurants are all expensive so choose wisely (we were really disappointed with Plant Hollywood and the diner opposite) but the kids had such a great time in the Rainforest cafe it made it better value for money than the others! Enjoy!

We took our own in everyday. Nice fresh baguette and some cheese etc.

I thought most of the food looked pretty samey in the restaurants and v expensive for what it was.

The official line is that you cannot take food into the parks, and I saw some people having food taken off them - so if you take the option of doing that then you need to attempt to hide it (there are bag searches for security purposes, although mainly qute cursory - they do take some aside for a more thorough search though.) There a couple of cafes on the Main Street inside the park that do a big bagette/crisps/drink/cake for 12 euros. This is the cheapest deal you will get and it is quite nice food. One of these would be enough for for 2 kids. A lot of the fast food/take away options in the park are overpriced and nasty frankly - pretty shocking in France, which is supposed to pride itself on its food. We ate at the Steak House in the Diney Village, and this was v nice but not cheap - and the puddings weren't great.
