Kingston Surrey to Chigwell Essex which is the best route?

I have a lovely friend who lives in Chigwell. In the 90's before DH & DS. I went out with her friend. I always hated the car journey as it took so long to get some where not that far away. I have googled AA route finder etc but they don't included local knowledge of the jams on a Sunday about 11am. Which way round should I go through the city hitting Bow around the time that Columbia market kicks out or M25? OR do you have another idea? Love you for ever if you find a less painful route.

I would do a bit of both routes! Follow the A3 straight into the city, past Parliament and along the embankment, then take A13 until you get to M25 - then continue with the AA route from M25 onwards.

Should be fine on a Sunday
