Jurassic Coast: where is good to stay?

Hi, my ds would love to go to the jurassic coast so we're hoping to get there later in the year. We would need to stay and I'd be grateful for any recommendations on areas to stay in.
Ds cannot walk for long distances so we would be looking for somewhere that was reasonably quiet but within easy distance of restaurants, the coast etc.

Lyme Regis is a lovely place to go to. Although some of it is on a hill, you can get from the cobb to the town end on the flat. Lyme has the best ammonite's I have ever seen, but it is a quite a walk to get there. From the car park by the cobb, you carry on walking west past the chalets onto the beach and keep going. You will know when you get there.
