What nappies for pool/beach?

This is probably a really stupid question but I could use some help. I am taking my daughter to Ibiza in June, she will be 19 months old. I am sure that she will be in and out of the pool/sea a lot but am not sure what kind of nappies i should be using. In this country we use swim nappies but this could work out very expensive on holiday. Are there costumes with built in nappies? How do they work? Won't they just get soiled? Thanks for any help.

You basically have 2 options.

Either disposable swim nappies or reusable (washable) swim nappies. These can be bought either integrated in a cossie or separate.

Disposables are (roughly) about £4 for 12 in supermarkets in the UK.

A reusable swim nappy from Mothercare is approx £6.

From experience I didn't enjoy trying to empty/rinse poo out of a washable one. (and I am a fan of reusable nappies, so not normally funny about poo). However on holiday the laundry facilities may be limited!

Your dd may have a very reliable system. e.g. if she always poos first thing and unlikely to poo at other times then a reusable may well be fine for you.

We have 3 washable totsbots swim nappies which we rotated during the holiday they just need to contain poo - wee just goes through them like with dispoables. DD wears a sun suit over the top. IF she is in/out of the pool any wee on her will wash off and you will only need aclean one if she poos.
