I want to go to Florida. Its a distant dream but hoping in 4-5 years I we have saved.

How much am I likely to need to save for actual holiday and all the days out.

I HAVE to do Kennedy space centre and Disney. These are a must do!

Probably be 2 adults and 4 children

Know it may sound crazy but if I have an idea at least I can save!

to the op?
why?
what possible reason could ther ebe, to save for four or five years to go to america on holiday? the mind boggles.

We went last year for 3 weeks and did it ourselves. Our outlay if it is any use to you was (approx as it was 18months ago I paid for most of it!)

Flights - £4800 for 3 adults, 4 children with Virgin. could of done it for about £1500 less with other companies but wanted direct flights.

Villa - £1100 for 3 weeks inc pool heat

Disney passes, univeral passes, seaworld/aquatica/discovery cover approx £2000 I think

Spending money £100 a day, we ate out about 4/5 times a week

Minivan - £520 for 3 weeks

First time with Thomson in the travel agents!

Second time with a Florida holiday company online

kiwibella · 05/04/2010 13:00

can you name the company Gay40? I seriously want to do Florida with my girls but don't want to pay anything like StrawberriesandCherries .

kiwibella · 05/04/2010 13:00

or give a clue to their name and I will google it!

Gay40 · 05/04/2010 13:34

OMG....at all the responses- it dropped off the threads I am on list...

I will look at all those sites. Thank you.

The reason why I want to go to florida is the space centre. I just wish I could see a shuttle launch but that will never happen now!

We are doing something similar EvilTwins but sounds more expensive.
3 days in NY hotel then 6 in Orlando leisure park no tickets for anywhere £3800.

XboxWidow30 · 06/05/2010 13:28

We are looking to go Sept 2011. Myself, husband and 4 kiddies (one under 2). For a Disney hotel, flights and 2 weeks away its £3800. We need park tickets and spending money on top of that, eeeek!

The villa option often works out better for groups like yours onadietcokebreak.....6 people housed for £475/week at our villa which is less than £70 per night. If you want to have a look at some details, let me know.
