We are looking at going on holiday to prestatyn , any ideas for things to do in the area. We are looking at staying at either pontins or Havens , does anyone recomend one or the other. thanks

hi stayed at haven in prestatyn in june.
would recommend it , kids loved it , caravans are really nice and the entertainment is good( well the kids liked it)
probably best if you have a car .. rhyl is only 10 min drive away and has got a great beach and sun centre, also towyn and llandudno are close.
kids had a ball and are already pestering us to go and book it again as soon as possible !!!

Some ideas here:

Llandudno - tramway up the Great Orme & copper mine
Chester - historic city, pretty river side, great zoo
Betws-y-coed - pretty village, nice river walks
Llanberis - Electric Mountain museum - very popular so book
Snowden - and steam railway up it
Further afield:
Beaumaris - beautiful Anglesey, puffin island
Porth Madog - Ffestiniog railway, Port Merrion
Bala Lake

There's a sea life centre at Rhyl which dd1 enjoyed (she was 20 months I guess). And a mountain zoo at conwy (I think) which is nice - just found it on a leaflet at the caravan park.
