We're lucky enough to be going to Florida for 2 weeks on Thursday 9 April. We're in Newcastle & are arriving in Manchester at lunchtimeish on Wednesday and staying overnight at airport as our flight is quite early. e need to fill in afternoon/early evening doing someting not too strenuous! I'd thought of the cinema. Where are they in city centre plse & how do we get there (we'd be starting from train station i guess), an other suggestions welcome, children are 8 & 11.
Thanks

Yes there's a cinema in the printworks. It's not too far from Piccadilly station but it might be difficult to find if you don't know the area. Might be easier to take a tram to Shudehill, which is just outside the printworks.

The museum of science & industry and the art gallery are both good, an have interactive stuff for children.

There's a cinema in Altrincham, which is close to the airport. Frankie & Bennie's next door.

The Printworks is just by Exchange Square, right next to Victoria station. You'd probably get to Piccadilly Station from the airport, but there's trams and buses between the two. Or a cab would cost very little.
There's also some of those theme restaurants, like TGI Fridays and Old Orleans there.

Is the big wheel still going in Exchange Square? That might be good too.
