Flying to Corfu via Athens sans enfants, haven't been on a plane since all the rules went crazy.
Do you really have to take hold luggage if you want to take your own mascara?
Was hoping to get by with just hand luggage but I've noticed Olympic have smaller maximum sizes than other airlines.

Thanks for any advice, am so not with it on these matters.

Olympic are quite relaxed on luggage size and weight and their excess baggage charges are v. good (2 Euro a kilo). I have flown Corfu Athens many times with a small suitcase taken on as a carry on.

You need to put all liquids that are above 100ml (or 150ml??) in your hold luggage. Less than this though and you can keep it in your hand baggage.

Watch out for the weather! the Corfu - Athens flight can be v. hairy if the weather is bad!! tis quite a fun experience!

Thanks Elenio.
Have just measured our ancient travelling sportsbags and found they fit inside the Olympic guidelines anyway - hurrah! Funny how you can't visualise a set of measurements in your head, I was thinking we'd have to fit everything into laptop cases.

Make sure any liquid items in your hand luggage are in a clear plastic bag, you can get one at the airport. This includes mascara etc, it will be taken away if it is just loose in your hand luggage. HTH
