asterias suites halkidiki or recommendations in crete

Has anyone been to asterias suites in Halkidiki? Do you know if the pool is warm and the sea there calm - suitable for toddlers? Is it a sandy or pebbly beach?

Or do you have any recommendations of really great child-friendly resorts in Crete?

Any advice would be gratefully received!

I haven't been there, ruby, but the whole of Halkidiki is just blissful for beaches - warm calm shallow water and miles of sand. DH and I drove to Greece 30 years ago and spent some time on Kassandra (western peninsula) - where Sani Asterias Suites is - and more in Neos Marmaras on Sithonia (middle peninsula).
