Sorry if this has been done before ? we need somewhere to stay overnight on our long trek down to the south of France and my spoken french is a bit rusty so I'd prefer to book by email if poss. Anyone have any recommendations? Wanted to find somewhere a bit more personal than those Formule 1 motels.
We want to stay near Arras, then again somewhere in the Loire.
(Have tried gites de france, but you seem only to be able to book 2 nights minimum (unless I'm doing something wrong)

Many thanks in advance

Is there a website for the area or town that might have b&b/hotel info?

www.arras-online.com/
has gite info

Try logis de france

Logis de France is an umbrella organisation for independent, family-run hotels. They are usually a good bet.
