We wil be taking our 3 and 2 year old to Egypt preferably at the end of August/Beg of September.

We have heard all sorts of rumours about egypt and about russians holidaying their who are ignorant.

Please could someone shed some light on the best family friendly hotels.

Thankf you :-)

we've been there several times, & never had that problem at all, though I do hear Sharm can be quite bad, but not just with Russians, but drunken brits too.

We stayed at the Sun Resort hotel in Hurgada when DD was 2, & that was great for her as well as us, it has its own very safe lagoon, she spent most of her time feeding fish, & building dams on its shore, & we bout a clear bottomed kiddy dingy, so she could sit in it & see the fish below, whilst I snorkled & pushed her around in it...all in all & great holiday...the Egyptians love Kids, so you will be made very welcome.

Would definitely reccommend the Coral Sea Holiday Village. It's a first choice exclusive hotel so 99% of the guests are british. They are totally geared up for families with fantastic kids clubs for 3yrs onwards with a creche for under 3's.

We went with our 2.4 DD and she had a ball and was treated like a princess by all the staff who are fabulous with kids. She even got a little crush on one of the entertainment staff and used to run off and hold his hand.

Food was brilliant, loads of choice and everything from the rooms, restaurants and public toilets were always spotlessly clean. None of us had an tummy problems at all. Would definitely reccommend the hotel to families.
