knoll house is a delight if you've got young children. they've got an excellent children's kitchen and dining room, delicious grown-up dining room, real live baby-listening in the evening (ie people outside your room, not a bored receptionist and intercom), an under-5s playroom, older kids activity rooms, an adventure playground, indoor and outdoor pools, beach, walks, steam train and ruined castle a short drive away...ok we're going back for the nth time! it's very expensive though, but worth it.

Have you considered The Dormy Hotel (De Vere Group)about 10 minutes from Bournemouth?
