Hi,

Just wondering what is on this weekend suitable for families in London. We are in really need of something different to do this weekend, i'm all out of ideas! Does anyone know of anything on or good places to go with a 2 and 5 yr old? Anywhere in London or an hour away is fine.

thanks!

The London Aquarium is fantastic in the old County Hall - although some parts are quite dark so only really great for kids on reins/in buggies/who will stick with you and not run off. I'm sure you can get 2for1 offers online as well - worth checking to bring costs down.

It's nice too as you can see Big Ben and Houses of Parliament as well, watch boats on the river and goggle at the London Eye.

Another MNer was recommending the duck tours as well recently, where a tour bus drives on the road and then goes into the Thames. Sounded fab!

Whatever you end up doing, have a fab day

i went to the history museum with a 5 and 3 year old and they both loved the dinosaurs.(it's free to get into aswell!!) my boys also loved the tube ( they had spent most of there life living in plymouth!!). we also looked around Hamlies and saw buck house.

thanks. we've done the museums so many times I can't bear it again this winter, though the natural history museum is fantastic. i'll checkout the aquarium online and see, haven't been there.

thanks

Look at london transport - 2 for 1 tickets, just need to print them off beforehand.
Includes aquarium etc.
