Anyone been to Fifteen in London? Any good?

Staying in London for one night and always fancied going to Jamie Oliver's restaurant so we have booked it but now having second thoughts. Would be a shame to spend our one night there if not very good. Also, is it easy to get to if we stay in central London or would it be better to stay nearby?

Thank you!

We went a couple of weeks ago and had a fab night. We got a cab from St Pancras and then a cab back into town afterwards (we stayed on Piccadily). The food was lovely and we opted for the wine tasting so you get a different wine with every course dependant on your choice (half a glass). I would highly recommend it.

Oh good! Thanks for that.

Yep, we've been a couple of times and the taster menu is good - interesting and varied, about 8 small courses I vaguely remember. Fun evening although not fine dining, so if yr looking for a fancy, fancy meal, there are better places. Waiters/resses are specially nice at 15 and make for a cheery, happy time.

But if you don't get a reservation, try here The Hoxton Apprentice It's great and operates on the same principle of taking long term unemployed people and training them up in the restaurant trade.

Winky the Hoxton looks interesting, we have got a reservation for Fifteen so I'll have to bear it in mind for next time.

TRL we don't want properly fancy posh so it sounds as though it will be our cup of tea.

Thanks for your comments x
