Help! Advice please about cycle touring with 9 month old?

Does anyone have any advice about cycle touring with little ones? It was something my dh and I used to do a lot before baby, we'd love to continue and now ds is 9 months we thought we could give it a go and we've got a trip planned at the end of the month in Cornwall.

We thought a trailer might be best and Chariots and Burleys seem to be the ones most people go for, has anyone got any advice about either of them?

Any other hints and tips about how to tackle a trip would be gratefully received.. most people think we are a bit mad but we think it would be so lovely to keep long distance cycling as a family!

We also cycle lots - although am currently pregnant again so not much lately. However, for our first child we had a double trailer, which turns into a pushchair and we also had a seat on the back of the other bike. We got both - so if we were on busy roads the baby could go in the seat - so we were all very visable. The double trailer is a good idea because you put a ruck sack in there as well.

No good on makes or brands - but we went to halfords!

Good luck!
